Clear out those closets, ladies, because Target is about to introduce a brand-new clothing line that'll make you want to blow your entire paycheck in one visit. Within the next month, the retailer is launching Universal Thread, a clothing and accessories brand tailored to fashion girls of all sizes. The label will feature "on-trend pieces that were designed with a laser-focus on fit, quality, and value," including denim (the brand's cornerstone), tops, dresses, accessories, and shoes, according to a press release. Is your credit card begging to be swiped yet or what?!
While developing Universal Thread, Target surveyed nearly 1,000 women across the nation to hear what they're looking for in a dream denim purchase. "What we heard from nearly all of them was that they dreaded shopping for new jeans," said Target's executive vice president, Mark Tritton. Sound familiar? He continued, "Whether the rise was too long or the inseam was too short or the pair of jeans they wanted didn't come in their size - finding the perfect fit for their body type was just too challenging. That's a problem we wanted to solve."
And boy, are they solving it! The highly anticipated brand will sell pieces in sizes 00-26W, along with a handful of sensory-friendly pieces tailored for women with disabilities. On top of that, each item will be ridiculously affordable, as the prices will range from just $5 to $40. The Target-exclusive Universal Thread products will be available in both stores and online on Feb. 4, so get those credit cards ready, and check out our favorite 20 items below in the meantime.
