For those who are lucky enough to score an invite to the Met Gala, you get that firsthand glimpse at all the fashion and glamour that ensues. Hollywood's biggest stars - all approved by Anna Wintour, of course - arrive in custom ensembles designed with a certain theme in mind. With so many guests year after year, there are definitely celebrities to keep your eyes on. Naturally, Rihanna and Amal Clooney (who will both be cohosting this year) are ones to track, but we're also holding our breath for Katy Perry.
The singer first popped up at the Met Gala in 2009 and even cohosted the 2017 event. If you remember, the theme was Rei Kawakubo/Commes des Garcons, and Katy got really into it. She wore a custom Maison Margiela Artisanal look in bright red, and the ensemble was made for the cameras. Though Katy has yet to confirm whether she will be attending this year's Met Gala (the theme is Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination), we're secretly hoping she shows up in something that will make our heads spin. Based on her past colorful outfits, it's safe to assume her choice will be dangerously daring.
Scroll on for a look at all of Katy's past Met Gala dresses, then stay tuned for the annual event on May 7.
